Here we go again with the changing of another season. The blazing heat of the summer and the long days and nights. The time has come for us ladies to put away the maxi-dresses, the men to put away the khaki shorts, and me to let go of my peep toe Steve Madden’s (well maybe I can keep those out for a couple more weeks :). It’s like second nature for us to recognize the chill in the wind, or the days shortening to know a new season has arrived. We all like being prepared for what we believe the season will bring, at least when it comes to the weather. But, what about the seasons in our lives? How do we deal with those changes?
We all know life brings changes. No matter how hard we may try to run from some of them, such as getting older and finding a gray hair or two, we have to learn to accept change. It is inevitable, and with every change brings forth something new. So why do we as believers fear or doubt that that something new is not from God? He said in His word that He would never leave nor forsake us. Yet I also know that sometimes we have to be chastised and taught a lesson before He can Bless us with our breakthrough.
In Ecclesiastes 3:1 it reads, “To every thing there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” The scripture continues down to verse 8 with the particulars of the purpose of our preordained time. Right now you may be going through and in that lesson there Will bring something new. The closure from a situation that you needed to help you move on. The opening of a door to another job opportunity. The start of a better relationship with your family. Even in your struggle, you must continue to believe. There is a new season on the horizon in your life, yet the real question is, are you ready? I know I’m ready to receive every thing that my God has promised! I suggest y’all start Praising God now and anticipate that when the storm has passed, which is soon, your New Season has arrived!
