Have you ever felt like everything good happens to everybody else but you? Somebody wins the lottery, the week after you decided to stop playing. Somebody at your job gets promoted for the job you felt you were qualified for. One of your friends gets engaged to a guy she met on a blind date, and you’ve been with your baby daddy for six years. These are just a few quirky scenarios, but let’s be honest, there has been some situation that has happened in your life that’s caused you to wonder why is everyone else getting ahead and I’m still two steps behind. We are human, and although no one wants to admit to being envious at least once or twice in their lifetime, it does and will happen. However, I’m here to tell you that your time is coming. Rev. Shirley Ceasar had a song called, “Your Next in line for a miracle,” and she sangs as only she can about how you have to Know that you’re the next in line to receive what God has in store in for you. I know that it seems that with everything going on in the world, that miracles seem far and few between.
There are natural disasters that have caused death and destruction to several cities, there’s the always lingering feeling of the next big war being on the horizon, there are still people and kids out here taking others’ lives in the name of some affiliation. I could go on and on about what’s wrong in this world that we live in, but I am a hardcore ‘Jesus believer’, so although it looks like all hope is lost to some, I know that in the midst of the storm, there is a peace that surpasses all understanding. In the Bible, there were so many perilous situations, that even reading about them can make one shake in their Faith. However, what always and yes I say always happened in every instance, is that there were people who prayed fervently for a miracle and stood on the Faith that it would happen. In Mark 11:24, it reads, “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
See, the enemy wants you to throw in the towel, accept everything that’s not going well in your life, and allow him to step right on in. John 10:10 reads, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal and to kill, and to destroy; I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” Many of you might be reading this like, hey, I already know this scripture, but do you fully grasp it’s meaning? If you know that this is the enemy’s scheme, then why do you continue to allow him to pull you out of line? If you keep this up, you’ll let life pass you by, and the miracles and Blessings that God had with your name on it, will unfortunately, be taken away.
Don’t you know that God has a purpose for every single one of us, and none of that such purpose includes you living a life of unhappiness. You may not win the lottery tomorrow, however, God has riches for you that are beyond your wildest dreams. It’s time for you to stop saying you believe and then allowing doubt to step in and bring you right back to the place where you started. It’s time for you to walk upright and prepare for your miracle. It’s time for you to stand in that line and know that you’re name is going to be called. You are next in line to receive your miracle!! Remember that, although it’s your time, it is going to come in God’s time. He may not come when You want Him, but He’s always on time! I’m praying for us all 🙂
